Purpose of Reiki Level 1 Workshop: Begin to learn and experience an energy based natural healing system to support healing on all levels (physical, emotional, mental, spirit) for yourself and others.

Level 1 Objectives:
  1. Learn the history of the Usui Healing Method.
  2. Heighten sensitivity of touch and distinguish sensations in your hands.
  3. Learn and demonstrate Reiki hands positions for treatments.
  4. Learn which organ systems and energy centers correspond to the hand positions.
  5. Complete a full Reiki exchange as both receiver and facilitator of a session.
  6. Discuss applications of Reiki in personal and professional settings.
  7. Receive a 1st Degree attunement introducing the Reiki energy to your system.

Target Audience: No Pre-requisite

  • Nurses receive .6 CEU credits granted through Des Moines Area Community College – Iowa Provider #22.
  • Massage Therapists receive 6 Iowa Category B (no tissue manipulation) CEU credits granted by College of Massage and the Healing Arts Center.
  • Any individuals interested in learning are also welcome.

    Cost: $175.00     Early registration (at least two weeks in advance of the class)
                                Late Registration: Add $25.00 to the registration.

                                Lunch is on your own.

    Class includes a Reiki Manual and handouts.

    Classes include information passed on in traditional ways with lecture, discussion, demonstrations, and hands-on experience and practice exchanges. Class also includes a ritual ceremony to pass on Reiki energy through a process called an attunement. Written materials are provided for reference to take home with you.
